So I really wanted to make use of this new blog and made myself promise that I will try and post daily. Today my post is about mothers. Particularly, my own. I love her dearly but I swear she can be soooo annoying. I'd like to say that now that I'm an adult, I often find myself acting more of it than my mom. She acts like such a kid sometimes. And I realize that the reason why I've had to be independent so early in life is cos' of the way she raised me. My mom's parenting skills are not the best but I swore that when I have my kids, I will do better. I will not bow down to my kids only to get mad and punish them to the extreme. Because by then it's too late. They won't believe that you're seriously angry and that you're seriously going to punish them. They're calling your bluff.
Thank God for this sanctuary I call my room! It's a big help knowing I can go in and close the door and not have to hear her. Well, the walls aren't so thick so maybe I can still hear her. But at least it's a little muffled. :o)
